Lenders handle modifications in different ways.
Most can only be reached by telephone and fax. In this age of e-mail it is sad that most refuse to do modifications by e-mail. However, Bank of America has set up a secure web e-mail system, although it is available only to third party advocates such as attorneys and not to the general public.
I will continue to add to my notes about different lenders.
