Music by Jimmie Deal
Copyright 2009

Lawyering and mortgaging are what pay the bills, but it is music that keeps me sane.

My father had the same name as I have . He was Jimmie Deal the musician. He was a singer and drummer in a Dixieland band during the 1930s. I always have a melody running through my head, and I thank Dad for that.

Dad was James Robert Deal Sr., but everyone called him “Jimmie.” After he died in 2000, I decided to adopt that name, especially when making music.

I hope you will enjoy these cuts. These are very raw first recordings. There are a lot of mistakes and some flat notes. I’d rather post them now than wait for perfect versions, which might take me weeks to get around to.

Most of these downloads are m4a files, and you will need to download Quicktime to play them.

Bach’s Prelude 2, played on keyboards with a brass choir setup, as interpreted by Jimmie Deal. (Still some errors, but I’ll update it soon.)

Bach’s Minuet in G, played on keyboards with a guitar setting, as interpreted by Jimmie Deal. (Still some errors, but I’ll update it soon.)

Bach’s Minuet in G, played on keyboards with a brass choir setting, as interpreted by Jimmie Deal. (Still some errors, but I’ll up date it soon.)

Jimmie Deal crooning his original song “Mankind’s Excuse.” (There are some flat notes, but I have included it because it is a clever song. I will update it when I have time.)

Jimmie Deal crooning his version of “The Lord’s Prayer.” (This is an mp3 file. This one too has some errors, but it’s a great song. I’ll update it soon.)

Click here for the score of “Mankind’s Excuse.” This is from my book.
